OUR AWARD-WINNING KITCHEN REMODELING PROJECT
The Challenge
Our clients on this particular project wanted to:
- Improve the layout
- Make the area more functional
- Brighten up the entire space
- Revitalize the look of their cabinets and finishes
- Expand the kitchen island to seat more guests when entertaining
- Seamlessly join the next room for overflow kitchen table seating
They also love entertaining and wanted more kitchen island seating for guests as well as a way to seamlessly join the gathering area in the next room as overflow kitchen table seating.
The Design
The newly designed floor plan:
- Opened views from the kitchen to the back deck, where guests congregate.
- Seamlessly connected the kitchen and the new gathering room for improved communications.
- Provided the homeowners with additional eat-in kitchen seating necessary for entertaining.
The Stunning Result
We won a prestigious Contractor of the Year award (CotY) for this kitchen’s design and functionality. The entire kitchen was updated with new:
- Cabinets
- Appliances
- Flooring
- Walls
- Finishes
- Fixtures
By adding a functional wall, we were able to convert the existing in-kitchen dining nook into a convenient Butler’s Pantry/Scullery which helped:
- Keep small appliances readily available on countertops
- Store dog food and bowls in custom cabinets
- Create easy access to icemaker and beverage coolers
The homeowners were delighted with the remodel and how it enhanced the overall look, feel, and functionality of their home.
